Your Questions & Our Answers About Diet Typing
Today I was on a well known radio show in Chicago and many of you emailed
us with your questions about the Hauser Diet™ and Diet Typing. We thought
sharing our answers to them might be helpful for all of our readers.
Am I
a candidate for Hauser Diet Typing? We feel that everyone should know their
Hauser Diet Type. Each of us has individual physiologies and genetics that
predispose us to different diseases/conditions. Our environments are different
and our levels of stress are different. Therefore, the diet that each person
needs is different. Knowing the best fuel for your body will help it operate
at maximum efficiency, give you the most amount of energy, and help prevent
disease. We believe everyone should know how to eat for their specific
Diet
Type.
Can I get my blood drawn somewhere else so you can interpret
the results? In order to compare apples to apples, the testing has to be done at our office.
We have developed a testing method and we do not know of anyone else doing
it exactly the way that we are doing it. We see patients from all over the
US and abroad every day at
Caring Medical. You can fly in and out the same
day, get tested, see our dietitian, and then conduct follow-up nutrition
visits over the phone and email if that works best for you.
Can I get the
testing if I do not have a weight problem? Losing weight is not necessarily
the goal of Diet Typing. Knowing your Diet Type has helped many people feel
better,
improve energy, reduce medications, and optimize their health.
Is
there a diet specific to cancer patients? Different cancers produce different
effects in the body. There are many theories out there related to cancer
and we have treated many
cancer patients here at Caring Medical, so we know
what you are up against. We recommend that you get Diet Typing so that you
can know what diet is best for you. As with any disease – the necessary
diet is determined by getting Diet Typing. What cancer patients can do is
avoid processed foods and eat as fresh as possible. But knowing the exact
breakdown of how you should eat should be determined by the actual testing.
I
have hormone problems. Will that affect my Diet Type? Low hormone levels
can definitely have an effect on how you feel, your energy, and how your
body processes food. Sometimes we need to test your hormone levels in addition
to Diet Typing in order to figure out all that is going on with you.
How
much does it cost and will insurance cover it? The basic Diet Typing package
costs $799 which includes the testing, a consultation and natural medicine
evaluation by Dr. Hauser, as well as three nutrition visits with our registered
dietitian. We are out of network providers. Most patients report that they
get partial reimbursement for these services, but this may vary greatly.
