Quick Cooking? What a Crock!

Well, actually, crock pot cooking is quick! If you have never tried it, this is the time to do it! Slow-cooking your food is so fun and easy! You come home to savory, delectable smells when you open your front door with the meal all ready to eat! Just toss a salad and you’re all set! DINNER!

Each of the five Hauser Diets differs in the amounts of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, so when planning your crock pot meal, keep your individual Hauser Diet in mind.

Remember:
Lions and Otters need meat and fat!
Bears need balance!
Monkeys and Giraffes need veggies and grains!

Tips for Crock Pot cooking:
1. Lions and Otters – try cooking things like pot roast, pork shoulder, whole chickens, and meaty chili recipes.

2. Bears – try mixed dish recipes that contain meats and veggies, such as chilis, stews, or soups, such as chicken chili, sweet and sour pork, or split pea soup.

3. Monkeys and Giraffes – try vegetable based dishes such as hearty vegetable soup, Thai veggie and chicken stew; or black bean Mexican dishes.

Here are a couple great crock pot recipes. We have added tweaks for your type for the five Hauser Diets, so you can learn how to alter a favorite recipe toward your individual Diet Type. If you need help tweaking one of your recipes for your type, send us your recipe! For more great Hauser Diet recipes, go to www.amazon.com and get the Hauser Diet book!
