So You're High Protein & Your Family is High Carb?

No Problem!

A complaint we often get when going over a patient’s new Hauser Diet, is that now they have to eat differently from the rest of their family.

Whether it’s the person that does the cooking, or the person that someone cooks for, they think it will be too much hassle to prepare two different meals every day.

That’s where the confusion is. There is no need to make 2 separate meals! It is very easy for a Monkey and Otter to live in harmony and both get to eat for the Diet Type.

Think about a few typical meals that may be prepared for dinner. Spaghetti and meatballs, steak and potatoes, chicken stir fry, or tacos. Now I’m not saying it would be easy to pass on a steak, but the reality is that one meal can feed everyone regardless of what Hauser Diet they are on. For example, if it’s a spaghetti and meatballs night the Otter would have mostly meatballs with a little bit of spaghetti, while the Monkey would do the opposite. Vegetables are allowed with every diet, so throw in a salad that night to complete the meal. The same goes for the steak and potatoes, chicken stir fry, and tacos. The Otters and Lions just need to stick with the meat and vegetables, while the Monkey and Giraffe should skimp on or leave out the meat. Of course Bears are the lucky ones, they get a little bit of each group…just remember the little part!

Don’t throw in the towel on getting healthy by eating for your Diet Type just because you have different needs from the other people you live with. If you’re having trouble finding meals you can serve to suit each family member give us a call. That’s what I’m here for. We don’t want being healthy to be a stressful venture. Let us get you started and soon enough it will become second nature. By the way, is your family really eating the way they should? If you don’t know then find out…bring them in for Diet Typing!
